Two artists. An atelier. A library of cast-offs and cast forms.
Atelier Barb makes the everyday feel rare.
Safiye Ozkan and Haydar Bayindir work with materials that carry memory, texture, and presence. From cast aluminum and bio matter to natural fibers and food, they explore transformation through process, scale, and substance. Their work includes objects, installations, and ideas that evoke stillness and continuity. Through Atelier Barb, they move fluidly across disciplines, using waste and organic resources as raw material, shaping them into sculptural pieces, limited editions, and site-specific works with lasting presence.
The name Barb comes from barbunya. A humble bean. A dish. A starting point. Food was the first material. From there, everything unfolded. Today, they collaborate with artists, artisans, and renowned brands around the world. Every collaboration is an act of precision, care, and radical material thinking.
